Readiness check
Applicability, data situation, system landscape – assessed compactly, with a roadmap for metal, supplier and textile portfolios.
DPP Consulting · Chemnitz & South-West Saxony
Chemnitz is the city of machines – and South-West Saxony the region of automotive suppliers and Saxony’s long-standing textile industry. For all three, the ESPR brings concrete passport obligations. We are at home in Saxony and make your data and systems DPP-ready – on site with short distances or remote. English-speaking teams welcome.
01 — Chemnitz
Hardly any region packs as much manufacturing into such a small space as Chemnitz and the Erzgebirge foothills. Here, the Digital Product Passport becomes concrete in three value chains at once:

03 — FAQ
Yes – we are at home in Saxony, the distances are short. Kick-offs, data audits and management workshops take place at your site; ongoing project work is done remotely and keeps the effort small.
The expected textile act initially focuses on apparel; further textile categories will follow. As a manufacturer of technical textiles you should still build the data logic now: fibre composition, recycled content and chemicals data will be requested by customers and follow-on regulation anyway.
Because your customers can only fill their passports with your data: material origin, CO2 values, substance information. These requirements land on your desk as specifications and supplier assessments – those who can deliver in a structured way secure orders.
Batteries: fixed for 18 Feb 2027. Steel: act expected in 2026, aluminium in 2027, textiles at the end of 2026/2027 with the obligation from around 2028 – each with a transition period of around 18 months. Sourcing the data usually takes longer than the period, which is why an early start pays off.
