- Electronics & semiconductors: Munich’s electronics and semiconductor companies should factor the ICT requirements expected for 2028–2029 into product development and master data now – electronics is among the most data-intensive product groups.
- Machinery: Anyone shipping equipment with industrial batteries above 2 kWh falls under the battery passport obligation as early as 2027 – often unnoticed, because the battery is just one component.
- Sporting goods & apparel: For Bavaria’s strong sports and outdoor sector, the textiles delegated act is expected from late 2026/2027 – with the obligation applying no earlier than ~2028, but a long lead time for supply-chain data.

We manufacture electronics – is it not too early for us?
The ICT delegated act is only expected for 2028–2029, but electronics has the most complex bills of materials: substances of concern, recycled content and supply-chain data across many tiers. In our experience, sourcing that data takes longer than any transition period.
